Buying a property in another state can be a challenging process, with obstacles, challenges, and anxieties unique to that situation. Having the right agent is a critical part of successfully navigating it. We were fortunate to find and work with Molly Dwyer, who is that agent. I don't think I've ever been involved in a real estate transaction that went as smoothly as buying our house on Vinalhaven. Excellent communication, sound advice, resourcefulness, high competence, sensitivity to tricky situations, etc. We felt confident from beginning to end and are truly grateful for the superb representation we got from Molly.

Once we decided to part with our home in Brooklin, we looked for several qualities in an agent: first, one that was not only familiar with our wonderful little town but who was a valued member of the community and would be able to share first-hand information about the schools, businesses and resources. Second, we wanted an agent who appreciated old houses and their charming imperfections, and who would be present at all showings to ensure prospective buyers had their questions answered. Third, we wanted an agent who would price our home fairly and market it appropriately. She was in near-constant communication, open and honest, a calming voice in our moments of anxiety. After spending many years traveling to Maine we decided to buy a piece of the coast for ourselves.  Living out of state made us a little nervous when making an investment like this.  Luckily our dear friends referred us to Molly Dwyer who went above and beyond trying to find our little piece of Downeast Maine.  Molly helped us navigate not only the market, but she helped us understand paperwork we had never seen before, liens, septic systems, water wells and historical homes.  After a few failed attempts to outbid other buyers we found our gem on Deer Isle.  It has already brought us so much joy and we could never have done it without the tireless efforts of Molly.  She never stopped keeping us in the loop and encouraging us to keep going.  We feel so lucky to have worked with her! 

We have been so pleased to have Samra on our side through the sale of our property in Eastport. She was so personable and pleasant to work with. The listing presentation was beautifully and professionally done, she was attentive and conscientious, looking after our interests in every detail and offering invaluable advice along the way.  We did so appreciate her regular communication and updates through every step of the process, which was 39 days from listing to close!
